He may look like a normal man on the outside, but spend five minutes with him, and his daily struggles begin to show. Being an extremely shy, social introvert is only part of the problem. If you have already read them and want to know what to read next (after Touch of Love) then I recommend Nicky’s book Love Me Whole If you haven’t read the first two books in this series, I 100% recommend that you do. While this book is part of a series you can read it as a stand-alone.Īt the time of my review the link to Touch of Love is not yet up, but the moment it goes live I will update with the URL. Just a tiny hint at the end about who the next book will be about. Every question I had that popped up while reading was eventually answered. I’m not a storyline reviewer (Too many chances at spoilers) but I will tell you that this book is written beautifully and there is no unnecessary information laying around. Afraid to kiss your love goodnight, or hug your mama? Yeah, me either. Can you imagine it? Being afraid to shake someone’s hand. While it’s one of the rarer phobias, it is also one of the most devastating. Did you know that over 10 million adults suffer from a severe phobia? Out of that 10 million, only a small percent suffer from haphephobia (fear of touch). Maybe I’ll realize that that person may have some internal struggle going on and they aren’t really being rude. Who knows, maybe the next time I go to shake a strangers hand and they take that step back instead, I won’t inwardly think the same crude thoughts I did about the last person who did that. I always learn something new from Nicky’s books. How amazing is that? When an author can make you feel so much with a few simple words. Reading Touch of Love pushed me through so many of my feels to the point that I had to literally stop reading and take a small break. I get so emotionally involved in most of the books that I read that I feel their pain, their happiness, their sadness. When I read, I leave my mind and I become these characters. And, going through this journey with Ireland was so heartbreaking. To know that they matter, that they’re alive. It’s something that I think every human wants. Shaking hands, patting shoulders, giving fist bumps or high fives and anyone who knows me can tell you…I’m a hugger. It was just the fact that I love physical contact with another person. And, it wasn’t because of any personal reason. The emotional impact this story had on me was strong. I love this entire series, but this one is by farmy favorite one. I was completely and totally enraptured from the first page until the very end. This book was EVERYTHING! It was such an amazing story.
